My Happy Place…

Everyone has that one place where they go and automatically feel happy right? Well, for me, that’s Durdle Door/ Lulworth Cove in Dorset. I love this place, its so pretty and picturesque. Despite the HUGE steep hill you have to walk up, the views make it all so worth it.

You can see what I mean right?! This is the view from the top of the hill as you’re walking down to Durdle Door. Whenever I visit my dad, I always insist we come here just because I love it so much. On this occasion, as it was such a lovely day, we decided to take a picnic with us to enjoy on the beach as a little ‘half-way’ break.

After catching a bit of sun we headed back to the little village, but we never go the same way back. We walked along the pebbly beach then climbed up the side of the hill and it took us back to the beginning. The views continued to impress. I think the main reason I consider this my happy place is because everywhere you look just looks so amazing and beautiful.

After a well deserved drink we headed to the local pub to refresh and grabbed ourselves an ice-cream on the way, and what would a day out be if you didn’t take a picture of your ice-cream, hey! (It was delicious).

The village is so cute, everyone knows everyone and they’re all so friendly; as well as being completely surrounded by lovely little cottages everywhere, whats not to love?! My aim is to definitely own one some day.

Whenever I come here I feel completely relaxed and refreshed. I think it’s important for people to have a place where they feel completely stress-free, and don’t have to think about anything else. If you are ever down in this part of the world, I would definitely recommend coming here, and if you do, I hope you love it just as much as I do.

Until next time,

M x
