Recently I went on holiday to the South of France and, during our 10 day stay, we took a day trip to Monaco and it quickly became my favourite place we visited. We were in Monaco on a really hot day so we decided the best way to see it (and to not die from the heat- very British, I know) would be to get on a little ‘hop-on, hop-off’ train.
The train took us right down to the famous Casino and near to the port so we got off at the first stop and had a little wander to admire its beauty. What I loved most about Monaco was it’s architecture, and how picturesque it all is. Every single building is very aesthetically pleasing and full of history.
This was the outside and inside of Monaco’s Casino, (see what I mean…) I have never seen a Casino look as beautiful as this one! We could go into the main entrance but then we couldn’t go any further unless we wanted to pay €500 for a membership! Monaco, being known for its wealth, also had A LOT of very nice cars. These Ferrari’s being 2 of the many we saw (we can all dream right?!)
Once we had wandered around and window shopped through the high streets, we decided to hop back on the train and head up to the Palace. The Palace, again, had lovely architecture and the view of Monaco from the top of the hill was incredible- making me fall in love with Monaco more than I already had. We also had a stadium tour around Monaco’s ground, Stade Louis II, (on my boyfriends request of course) which was really interesting too as the stadium was actually built on top of the sea!
I would highly recommend visiting Monaco if you’re ever in the South of France, I will definitely be going back!
Until next time,
